Clemont felt a mixture of relief and anxiety as the tall waterfalls of the Allearth Forest came into view. They were so close to waking up Ash, Greninja and Zygarde from their coma and yet at the same time, he knew that Yveltal would be nearby. He had seen with his own eyes the destruction that the Legendary Pokémon had caused when it had been disturbed from within its own cocoon and it was something that he hoped would never experience again. Not even Ash’s Pikachu, who was arguably the strongest Pokémon among them, stood a chance, succumbing to its Oblivion Wing and only Xerneas could revive it and calm Yveltal down. It was because of Squishy’s Extreme Speed that allowed Clemont, Bonnie, Serena, and Alain to cross the Lumiose Badlands in a few mere minutes. Squishy wouldn’t have to worry too much about overexerting itself because it was under the full sun’s light, its source of energy. It had stretched out its frills a little farther to take full advantage of this, which in turn, had provided some protection from the sun to the group. Squishy didn’t stop until it had reached the edge of the Badlands. Courmarine City was just within sight which meant that the group could stop to rest up and eat. Squishy in its 50% serpentine form, would have attracted far too much attention in the city and so it had quickly dispersed its cells to reduce it to its Core state so that Squishy could hide in Bonnie’s bag. They had no intention of actually staying in the city, only making a quick stop so that Bonnie, Clemont, Serena and Alain could get a quick meal and then they departed once more. It was late at night when Professor Sycamore and Alain returned to the lab.
